Google Slides Template
Build decks that match these patterns in Google Slides or PowerPoint using the same layouts, typography, and colours as the template. For programmatic, on-brand decks — including .pptx export and Google Slides workflows when tools allow — use the gslides skill.
Usage
The gslides skill packages ClickHouse layout specs, brand rules, and assets so Claude Code can create or edit branded decks. The skill is updated regularly as we refine layouts, prompts, and tooling — treat it as a starting point for on-brand structure, not a finished, hands-off pipeline. Expect to review slides, adjust copy, and tune output for your audience.
Installation
Claude Desktop
The gslides skill is shared across the ClickHouse organisation, but Claude Desktop doesn’t enable shared skills automatically. You’ll need to turn it on once:
- Open the sidebar in Claude Desktop and click Customize.
- Go to Skills → Browse skills.
- Open the Shared tab and enable gslides.
- (Recommended) While you’re in Customize, also enable the Google Drive connector. This powers the artifact’s Open in Google Drive button so finished decks open as a Google Slides presentation in one click — without it, you’ll have to download the .pptx and upload it to Drive manually.
Troubleshooting.
- Don’t see the skill after enabling? Ask Claude what skills are shared in my organisation? — if gslides isn’t listed, restart Claude Desktop.
- Drive upload stuck on “Create file” forever? This happens when Claude tries to push the deck to Drive itself via the Drive connector (e.g. if you ask it to “upload to Drive”) — the connector passes the file inline as base64 and even a small deck (Claude usually reports something like “the base64 content was too large to pass inline” at around 100 KB) is enough to cut the upload off. The fix is to not ask Claude to upload — use the artifact toolbar’s Open in Google Drive button instead, which uses a different upload path and handles larger files reliably. If Claude is already stuck on a “Create file” call, ask it for the download: Give me the .pptx as a download instead — the Drive upload is hanging. Then either click the artifact’s Drive icon or upload the .pptx to Drive yourself (File → Open → Upload).
Claude Code
- Download gslides.skill.
- Install it into your Claude Code skills directory so the folder contains
SKILL.mdat~/.claude/skills/gslides/SKILL.md:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
unzip -o /path/to/gslides.skill -d ~/.claude/skills/Replace /path/to/gslides.skill with the path where your browser saved the file (for example ~/Downloads/gslides.skill).
- Restart Claude Code (or reload skills) so the new skill is picked up.
Invoking /gslides
In a Claude Code terminal or from the Claude Desktop app, use the /gslides slash command and describe what you want in the same message, for example:
/gslides Create a short deck for an internal roadmap review with a cover, three sections, and a closing slide.Markdown reference files
